Fatal crash on I-65 in White County under investigation
Indiana State Police are currently conducting an investigation in White County following a tragic accident on I-65 early Wednesday morning. The incident, which occurred near the 198-mile marker, involved a 2002 Chevrolet Avalanche that was traveling southbound. According to preliminary reports, the driver lost control of the vehicle, causing it to veer off the road, hit a guardrail, and overturn. Tragically, the passenger in the car was declared deceased at the scene by the White County Coroner's Office. The identity of the victim has not been disclosed at this time. The other individuals in the vehicle sustained non-life-threatening injuries and were transported to hospitals in Lafayette for treatment. The Indiana State Police are currently leading the investigation into the accident.
