Fatal crash on Gulf Freeway leaves one dead and child hospitalized
Unfortunately, a man lost his life and a young girl was injured during the early hours of Sunday morning following a tragic incident on the Gulf Freeway in Houston. According to the local authorities, a Dodge Durango collided with a wall and broke down, leaving two people inside. The man driving the vehicle exited and stood next to it in another lane, where he was struck by a Chevrolet truck that couldn't avoid him due to a swerving vehicle ahead. The man was tragically pronounced dead at the scene, while a 9-year-old girl seated in the back of the truck sustained injuries and was taken to a nearby hospital. Her current condition is unknown. Police confirmed that the driver of the Chevrolet truck was not under the influence of any substances. The Houston Police Department's Special Operations Traffic unit is now in charge of the investigation.
