Fatal crash on Dolly Parton Parkway involved three-wheel vehicle
SEVIERVILLE, Tenn. (WATE) — One person is dead after a crash on Dolly Parton Parkway involving a three-wheel vehicle. The Sevierville Police Department shared that its officers responded to a two-vehicle crash in the 1300 block of Dolly Parton Parkway at 6:10 p.m. on Tuesday, March 31. SPD said their Accident Reconstruction Team and Criminal Investigations Division determined that a Nissan pickup truck attempted to pull into Chubby’s restaurant off of Dolly Parton Parkway when a Can-Am Spyder three-wheel vehicle hit the back of the truck. The driver of the three-wheel vehicle, identified as James Butler of Sevierville, 75, was taken to LeConte Medical Center by the Sevier County Ambulance Service. He was then pronounced dead at the hospital. SPD added that the pickup's driver was also taken to the LeConte Medical Center with what appeared at the scene to be minor injuries.
