Fatal crash on Angeles Crest Highway in Altadena
A fatal car accident occurred on Sunday afternoon on the Angeles Crest Highway in Altadena, resulting in the death of one person and hospitalization of another. The incident took place around 12:45 p.m. close to mile marker 62, as reported by the California Highway Patrol. The crash was identified through an emergency alert sent by an Apple device using satellite technology. Sadly, one victim was pronounced dead at the scene by Los Angeles County Fire Department paramedics; no identification has been provided yet. The second victim was transported to a hospital with their condition unknown. The cause of the accident remains uncertain. Accordingly, CHP officials have announced the closure of both lanes of the highway near the tunnel until around 6 p.m.
