Fatal crash involving semi truck injures one Northfield teenager
Sadly, a tragic car accident occurred just outside of Northfield, Minnesota, resulting in the death of a high school student, Berlyn Berghuis, and injuring another student. The incident, involving a semi truck and a Lexus CT, happened in Greenvale Township on Monday afternoon. The passenger of the Lexus, a 16-year-old girl, sustained serious injuries and was airlifted to a hospital. Berghuis was a sophomore at Northfield High School, while the other student involved is currently in stable condition in the ICU. Fortunately, the driver of the semi truck was unharmed. The Dakota County Sheriff's Office is investigating the crash.
