Fatal crash inside HRBT involves one dead and one seriously injured
Tragic news from Hampton, Virginia as a fatal two-vehicle collision occurred inside the Hampton Roads Bridge-Tunnel early Monday morning. According to the Virginia State Police, one person lost their life while another sustained serious injuries. The incident, which took place around 2:40 a.m. on I-64 eastbound, involved a grey Nissan Altima experiencing a tire blowout and becoming disabled in the tunnel. Subsequently, a red Acura MDX collided with the disabled vehicle at a high speed. The driver of the Nissan Altima was ejected and unfortunately succumbed to their injuries at the scene, while the Acura driver was hospitalized with serious injuries. The authorities are currently conducting an investigation into the matter.
