Fatal crash in Walworth County; Woman from Town of Lyons dies, 2 injured
The Walworth County Sheriff's Office looked into a tragic accident that occurred in the Town of Sugar Creek on Dec. 16. Following a report received at around 6:20 p.m., emergency responders found two vehicles involved in a head-on collision on County Road A. Three individuals were injured, receiving prompt medical attention and transport to hospitals. The initial findings indicated a 30-year-old man from Algonquin, Illinois, was driving west on County Road A and veered into oncoming traffic, colliding with a vehicle carrying a 68-year-old female driver from the Town of Lyons and a 74-year-old female passenger from Elkhorn. While both drivers were airlifted to hospitals, the passenger sadly succumbed to her injuries at 9:24 p.m. Names are being withheld pending notification of their families.
