Fatal Crash in Sycamore Township
A fatal crash in Sycamore Township on Wednesday has resulted in the death of one individual and critical injuries for another, as reported by the Hamilton County Sheriff's Office. The incident took place at the intersection of Montgomery and Galbraith roads close to Kenwood Towne Centre around 11 a.m. The driver, Connor Walchle, was speeding in a Toyota Corolla on Montgomery Road when he collided with a Mercedes on Galbraith Road, left the road, and struck a curb. The vehicle then hit multiple trees and utility poles after going airborne. Both Walchle and a passenger were extracted from the vehicle, but unfortunately, Walchle succumbed to his injuries. The passenger was taken to UC Medical Center with critical injuries. The crash also disrupted power and internet services for nearby businesses, leading to the closure of Montgomery Road for repairs by Duke Energy crews.
