Fatal crash in Scott County caused by speeding, potentially drunk driver, according to patrol
A woman, Kala Henry, 46, tragically lost her life in a crash caused by a speeding driver suspected of driving under the influence in Jackson Township, southwest of the Twin Cities. The incident occurred on Sunday evening on southbound Highway 169 when a GMC Acadia crashed into a Chevrolet Cobalt, causing it to roll into a ditch. The driver of the Chevy, Henry, was taken to a nearby hospital but sadly did not survive. The 20-year-old driver of the GMC, from Shakopee, who was not wearing a seat belt, sustained survivable injuries and is believed to have been drinking prior to the crash. He is currently in hospital and awaits charges at the Scott County Jail.
