Fatal crash in Reserve claims life of Shreveport man, says LSP

A recent fatal car crash involving a Shreveport man occurred on Airline Highway in Reserve, Louisiana. The incident involved a 18-wheeler and a Honda Accord. The 21-year-old victim, Kavon Barnhill, was driving the Honda east on US 61 when he disregarded a red traffic signal and collided with the turning 18-wheeler. Tragically, Barnhill was not wearing a seatbelt and later succumbed to his injuries at a nearby hospital. The driver of the 18-wheeler, who was wearing a seatbelt, was unharmed. Louisiana State Police are currently investigating the accident.
