Fatal crash in Panorama City kills three as driver runs red light

Three individuals lost their lives in a tragic incident when a Plymouth minivan ran a red light and collided with a Ford Mustang and a Honda Civic in Panorama City. The Los Angeles police reported that the driver of the minivan, a 30-year-old man, was speeding on Terra Bella Street around 9:35 pm when he ignored the red light at the intersection with Woodman Avenue, causing the crash with the other vehicles heading southbound. LAPD investigators suspect that the minivan driver might have been trying to escape from a previous collision. Emergency responders from the Los Angeles Fire Department confirmed the deaths of the minivan driver and two occupants of the Mustang, both 20 years old. A 25-year-old male passenger from the minivan sustained critical injuries and was taken to the hospital. It was noted that the Civic's driver fled on foot after the accident. The LAPD is seeking any witnesses who have information regarding the events of that Friday night.
