Fatal crash in Barry County: Driver killed in single-car accident
A tragic incident occurred in Barry County, Missouri, resulting in the death of a Miller man following an SUV collision last Sunday, Jan. 4. The crash report indicates that the accident occurred around 2:50 p.m., approximately 10 miles south of Aurora on State Highway 39. The vehicle involved, a 2003 Jeep Grand Cherokee, veered off the right side of the road and collided with a tree. The driver, a 62-year-old male, was declared dead at the crash site by the Barry County Coroner. The deceased's family has been informed of the unfortunate event. This marks the first fatal accident in MSHP Troop D for the year 2026.
