Fatal crash closes northbound Sunshine Skyway Sunday afternoon
A fatal crash shut down the Sunshine Skyway for northbound drivers and had southbound traffic at a near stand still Sunday, the Florida Highway Patrol said.The crash occurred shortly before 1 p.m. Troopers urged motorists to seek alternative routes as the northbound lanes were expected to remain closed for hours.No other details were released about the crash, which happened around mile marker 12.
