Fatal collision in Caledonia results in man's death after crashing into semi truck
A fatal crash occurred in Caledonia late Tuesday night, December 23. The incident took place at the intersection of Northwestern and Carol, just to the east of I-41, around 10:30 p.m. Emergency responders arrived at the scene to discover a 31-year-old man from Racine had passed away. The Wisconsin State Patrol was called in to aid with the investigation of the crash. Preliminary reports suggest that the man was driving west on Northwestern Avenue when he struck the rear of a slow-moving semi cab, which was operating without a trailer. The 41-year-old driver of the semi, from Illinois, is cooperating with authorities.
