Fatal car accident near San Ysidro on-ramp.
A tragic incident occurred in San Diego on Friday when a man driving a white Toyota Camry collided with a tree near the Via de San Ysidro on-ramp to I-5 North. The California Highway Patrol reported that the man was traveling eastbound on the ramp around 11:13 a.m. when his vehicle veered off the roadway and crashed into a tree. Despite being taken to a local medical facility, he succumbed to his injuries. The identity of the driver is being withheld until his family is notified.
