Fatal car accident claims the life of Taft man
A Taft man tragically lost his life on New Year's Day in Bakersfield, California, when his vehicle collided with a tree. According to the California Highway Patrol, the 39-year-old man, whose identity has not been disclosed, was pronounced dead at the scene near the intersection of South 10th and B streets. The authorities reported that the incident occurred when the car, traveling east on B Street, proceeded past South 10th Street and veered off the road, ultimately hitting the tree.
