Fatal Car Accident Claims Life of Woman in St. Tammany Parish
A tragic car accident occurred on Monday, June 2 in St. Tammany Parish, resulting in the loss of a young woman's life. According to Louisiana State Police, the accident involved a collision between a 2004 Buick LeSabre driven by 20-year-old Madison Boone and a 2017 Hyundai Santa Fe traveling in the opposite direction on Highway 36. Boone, who was not wearing a seatbelt, sustained severe injuries and was taken to a nearby hospital where she later passed away. The Hyundai driver, who was also hospitalized, received a citation for driving on the wrong side of the road. The incident is currently being investigated.
