Fatal accident on SR-31 in Charlotte County
Two individuals tragically lost their lives in a collision on SR-31 near Bermont Road, prompting Florida Highway Patrol to close lanes in both directions between Bermont Road and the DeSoto County Line. According to troopers, a 22-year-old man driving north in a Sedan veered across the centerline into the southbound lane, resulting in a fatal crash with a 63-year-old woman.
