Fatal accident on Salmon River Road claims bicyclist's life
A man aged 60 tragically lost his life after being struck by a vehicle while riding his bicycle in Rancho Peñasquitos in San Diego. The incident occurred at approximately 5:35 p.m. on Wednesday, where a woman aged 51 driving a northbound 2019 Toyota Camry collided with the bicycle's rear tire on Salmon River Road. Despite efforts, the bicyclist succumbed to his injuries at the scene, and authorities confirmed the driver did not see him. Police clarified that there were no indications of driving under the influence, and the San Diego Police Department's Traffic Division was conducting an investigation.
