Fatal accident on Pacific Coast Highway in Malibu.
The Pacific Coast Highway in Malibu was closed temporarily on Monday night following a tragic incident where a pedestrian was struck and unfortunately killed. The incident occurred at approximately 7:30 p.m. near Winding Way, just east of Kanan Dume, as reported by the California Highway Patrol. Although the victim has not been identified, they were declared deceased at the scene by Los Angeles County Fire Department paramedics. Authorities confirmed that the driver involved in the collision stayed at the scene to assist with the investigation. They have ruled out driving under the influence and speed as factors in the accident. The cause of the crash is currently under investigation. A closure of PCH was anticipated for a few hours between East and West Winding Way, as mentioned by law enforcement officials.
