Fatal Accident on I-580 in Livermore
Eastbound Interstate Highway 580 in Livermore is now completely open again after a tragic accident and vehicle fire occurred early on Tuesday morning. The California Highway Patrol reported a collision involving a motorcycle on I-580's eastbound lanes near the Isabel Avenue off-ramp around 2:40 a.m. Authorities stated that at least one large truck was also involved in a vehicle fire in the same location. Unfortunately, the CHP confirmed that the collision resulted in a fatality around 3:20 a.m. Due to the crash, eastbound Highway 580 from Airway Boulevard to Isabel Avenue was closed. However, by 7:30 a.m., the freeway was confirmed to have resumed full accessibility.
