Teenager dies in Taney County car accident
A tragic incident occurred south of Hollister in Taney County, Missouri late on Monday night when a car, carrying three juveniles, crashed. Tragically, a 14-year-old girl lost her life in the single-vehicle accident, while the 16-year-old driver sustained serious injuries and a 15-year-old passenger suffered minor injuries. The accident happened on State Route 165 as the 2011 Chevrolet Malibu failed to negotiate a turn and collided with a tree. The driver was airlifted to Mercy Hospital in Springfield for treatment. This marks the 65th fatality in MSHP Troop D for the year 2025.
