Fatal accident in Lake County involving 5 vehicles, Florida Highway Patrol reports
A fatal crash involving five vehicles in Lake County resulted in one fatality, as reported by the Florida Highway Patrol. The incident took place on U.S. 27 and Greater Groves Boulevard before 5 p.m. on Tuesday. A 50-year-old woman from Groveland was airlifted to Osceola Regional Hospital and later succumbed to her injuries. Three other individuals in their twenties were taken to AdventHealth Four Corners with non-life-threatening injuries. The remaining three parties involved in the collision remained at the scene. The FHP is conducting an investigation into the accident, and WESH 2 news has requested additional details.
