Fatal accident in Bulloch County
On Wednesday afternoon at approximately 3:35 p.m., troopers from Post 45 responded to a collision involving two vehicles at the intersection of Ash Branch Church Road and GA Highway 46. The driver of a Kia Forte failed to give way to a Ford Explorer, resulting in a crash that caused both vehicles to veer off the road. The Kia then collided with a power pole and overturned. Upon arrival, authorities learned that the driver of the Kia had tragically passed away, while the other driver was taken to the hospital by emergency services. The deceased individual was a Florida resident, and efforts to notify their family are currently underway. Florida Highway Patrol has been contacted for assistance. The driver of the Ford Explorer was transported to Memorial Hospital in Savannah after sustaining a head injury and is currently in stable condition.
