Fatal accident causes traffic delays on Freeway
A tragic incident occurred Monday morning in Portland, Oregon, as a pedestrian lost their life in a collision on I-5 close to Southeast Water Avenue. Portland police rushed to the scene following reports of a pedestrian being hit on the I-84 exit adjacent to the Marquam Bridge at around 4 a.m. The pedestrian was transported to the hospital by paramedics but unfortunately succumbed to their injuries. The driver of the vehicle involved in the accident stayed at the site. By 9 a.m., all previously closed lanes were reopened, confirmed by ODOT.
