Fatal accident as vehicle hits curb and pole.
A man in Memphis tragically lost his life in a single-vehicle crash after colliding with a light pole in North Memphis on Monday night. The accident occurred at the intersection of Jackson Avenue and Charles Place around 11:50 p.m. According to authorities, a Nissan Altima traveling eastbound on Jackson Avenue veered into the westbound lanes of Jackson and Charles Place. Subsequently, the Altima hit a curb, crossed back into the eastbound lanes, struck another curb, and ultimately collided with a light pole at Jackson Avenue and Springdale Street. Despite being rushed to Regional One Hospital in critical condition, the driver did not survive. The investigation into this incident is ongoing.
