Fatal 5-car crash on I-90 causes 2 deaths and multiple injuries.
Near Reliance, South Dakota, on Friday, a tragic five-vehicle accident resulted in the loss of two lives. The South Dakota Department of Public Safety reported that a semi-truck driver had slowed down on Interstate 90 due to an existing crash ahead. This led to a chain reaction collision that involved five vehicles, including a 2008 Mercury Sable driven by Reed Glenholden Harter, 28, from Colome, SD, who unfortunately lost their life along with a passenger, Chandler Cole Bakley, 27, from Martin, SD. Several other individuals involved in the crash sustained serious injuries, but most are expected to recover. Weather conditions, specifically whiteout visibility, played a role in the accident. The South Dakota Highway Patrol is currently investigating the incident.
