Fatal 3-car crash claims life of Wisconsin man on U.S. 30 near Plymouth Goshen Trail
A three-vehicle crash on U.S. 30 west of U.S. 31 near the Plymouth Goshen Trail intersection resulted in the tragic death of 26-year-old Thomas Diener of Sheboygan, Wisconsin, around 9:45 pm on Thursday. Diener was in a parked Ford pickup behind a disabled truck on the north shoulder of U.S. 30. A tow company was about to assist when a westbound semi collided with the Ford pickup and disabled truck. Diener was thrown from the pickup upon impact and was declared deceased at the scene by County Coroner Dean Byers due to crash-related injuries. Emergency services airlifted two patients to Memorial Hospital in South Bend, one person was taken by ambulance, and another individual declined medical attention. The Marshall County Sheriff’s Department will provide updates on the crash as more information becomes available.
