Kelly and a passenger were in a Toyota Camry that crashed into a black Nissan Altima, killing Higgins and Lynch. Kelly was arrested and charged with aggravated DUI. Lynch’s daughter, Datje Lynch, said it has been a long three years to get to this day."We want justice, you know, it's a lot. As far as healing, I can't say that we're just on that path yet because we're looking for the answers. I feel like once we get a verdict, we will be able to begin that process. But right now, it's just a lot of grieving and trying to even get past that first step of accepting," said Datje Lynch. The identity of the passenger in the car with Kelly at the time of the accident has not been released.Lynch remembers her mother as a woman who always kept a smile on her face and was loved by many.
