Family seeks answers after fatal crash in Bessemer
The family of Terence Summers Jr. is still searching for answers more than a year after he was killed in a crash in Bessemer, gathering at Oakland Cemetery for a special dove release to call for information.Authorities said Summers hit a large metal object, possibly a sawmill blade, on the interstate near Academy Drive, causing his car to roll several times.Since then, no one has come forward to claim the object, and the family hopes someone will."I know my son went to Heaven. And even though this is the worst day of my life, it was the best day of his life. I do know that, even though I want him to be here with me, I feel like he was taken away too early, and he had so much ambition and so many other things do to," said Terence's father. The family asks anyone with information that could help in this case to get in touch with police.Your neighborhood: Local coverage from WVTM 13
