Emergency crews respond to early morning crash | Road closed
Multiple people were hospitalized in a two-vehicle crash in Dauphin County early Monday morning, according to the Steelton Borough police chief. Two vehicles collided on South Front Street/Route 230 near T Street in Steelton Borough just before 2 a.m. Fire, police and EMS crews responded to the scene. Fire police told WGAL that the crash is being investigated as a crime scene. The police chief said multiple people were transported to area hospitals. Their conditions are unknown at this time. Road closedAccording to PennDOT, South Front Street/Route 230 is closed in both directions between Chambers Street and Eisenhower Boulevard. PennDOT said the closure was extended to 9:30 a.m. as the Dauphin County Accident Reconstruction Team investigates the scene. Police said residents in the East End and Durabond employees will still be able to enter and exit the area. All other drivers are asked to avoid the area and follow posted detours.
