Elderly person killed in car accident in Cheektowaga
A 91-year-old woman tragically passed away in a car accident on William Street in Cheektowaga on Tuesday afternoon, according to local police. The incident occurred when a vehicle crossed the center median near Colton Street and collided with another vehicle. The elderly victim, identified as Joan Lewis, was found unresponsive at the scene and later pronounced dead at ECMC. The 29-year-old driver of the other vehicle stayed at the site and is assisting with the police investigation.
