Elderly motorcyclist dies after crash on Oregon highway

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) -- A 74-year-old motorcyclist died after a crash on Tuesday on Highway 140, Oregon State Police announced. The crash took place just after 4:15 p.m. near milepost 30 in Klamath County. Investigators say that Wesley Lawson was driving a black Honda motorcycle east near Kingfisher Drive when he left the roadway for an unknown reason and crashed on the shoulder of the road. Lawson was declared dead at the scene.
