El Cajon police investigate crash injuring two juveniles

SAN DIEGO, Calif. (FOX 5/KUSI) — A two-vehicle crash in El Cajon left three people injured, including two juveniles, on Sunday, authorities confirmed. The El Cajon Police Department said that it received a call around 4:29 p.m. about an accident that happened near the intersection of Gustavo Street and Jamacha Road. Authorities said that a car traveling northbound was going at a high rate of speed when it lost control and drifted into the southbound lanes, crashing into another vehicle. The car going northbound had one juvenile in it, and the car traveling southbound had one adult and one juvenile inside, authorities said. All three people, including the two juveniles, were reportedly transported to the hospital. Their ages have not yet been confirmed. Police said both juveniles appeared to have broken bones, but that none of the three are believed to have suffered life-threatening injuries. This is a developing story.
