Early morning vehicle accident injures 1 in Kingwood
KINGWOOD, W.Va. (WBOY) — A vehicle accident in Kingwood early Saturday morning injured one and temporarily closed a road. According to a Facebook post by the Kingwood Volunteer Fire Department, the accident took place at roughly 1:15 a.m. on the Veterans Memorial Highway (Route 7). Crews arrived on scene to find a two vehicle accident with heavy damage and debris coving both lanes. "Route 7 was temporarily shut down while emergency personnel assessed the scene and evaluated the occupants," the post said. "EMS units from KAMP and Terra Alta were on scene. One patient was treated and released, while two other individuals denied injuries and refused treatment." After the debris was cleaned and the cars were towed, the road was reopened an hour later.
