Dump truck driver killed in crash in Lebanon
LEBANON, Ind. — A dump truck driver was killed in a crash in Lebanon on Monday. According to a release from the Lebanon Police Department, the crash happened at the intersection of State Road 32 and County Road 400 West around 2:10 p.m. LPD reported that three vehicles were involved in the crash — a passenger car, a semi and a dump truck. The driver of the dump truck became entrapped in the vehicle during the crash. Crews extricated the individual and transported him to an Indianapolis hospital. Per LPD, the dump truck driver did not survive the injuries he sustained in the crash. Police identified him as 22-year-old Jaheim Miller of Louisiana. The occupants of both the passenger car and semi were also injured in the crash. They were transported to local hospitals with with non-life-threatening injuries. LPD indicated that it is still investigating the crash. The agency reported that "the preliminary investigation and witness statements indicated the cause of the crash was a passenger vehicle entering SR 32." LPD did not provide any further information on the circumstances that led to the crash. Lebanon police were assisted at the scene by the Boone County Sheriff's Office, Boone County EMS, Lebanon Fire Department, Center Township Fire Department, Whitestown Police Department, Zionsville Police Department and Zore's Towing.
