Driver of truck charged after fatal Thomasville hit-and-run with motorcycle on National Highway near Teague Road, troopers say
THOMASVILLE, N.C. (WGHP) -- A driver faces a felony hit-and-run charge after a fatal crash involving a motorcycle in Thomasville on Tuesday, according to the North Carolina State Highway Patrol. Around 9:24 p.m., troopers were sent to a hit-and-run between a motorcycle and a 2003 Chevrolet Silverado on National Highway near Teague Road in Thomasville. The truck was going north on National Highway when it stopped in the middle of the road and tried to do an illegal U-turn, according to the NCSHP. The motorcycle was behind the truck and hit it from behind. The truck pulled away before troopers arrived on the scene. The driver of the motorcycle, Andralius Fazant Culbreth, 30, of Thomasville, was flown from the motorcycle alongside his passenger, a 36-year-old Lexington woman. Culbreth was dead when troopers arrived on the scene. The passenger was taken to a hospital with serious injuries. Troopers identified Joshua Sermeno, 21, of Davidson County as the driver of the Silverado. He has been charged with felony hit-and-run.
