Driver killed, two others hospitalized in crash on I-395 in Lisbon

LISBON, Conn. (WTNH) -- A 26-year-old Oakdale man is dead and two other people are in the hospital after police said they were involved in a crash on Saturday morning on Interstate 395 in Lisbon. According to Connecticut State Police, troopers responded to the area of Exit 19 on I-395 just before 3 a.m. on Saturday for a report of a two-vehicle crash. It was determined that 26-year-old Keith Mutch was in a car heading north on I-395 when he collided with another car from behind. Police said Mutch "separated" from his vehicle and came to a rest in the center median. Mutch was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver and passenger of the other vehicle were both taken to Backus Hospital with suspected minor injuries. I-395 is currently closed between Exits 19 and 21 due to the crash.
