Driver killed, passenger injured in Spartanburg Co. crash
SPARTANBURG COUNTY, S.C. (WSPA) -- One person died and another person was injured in a crash that occurred in Spartanburg County Monday. Investigators with South Carolina Highway Patrol said the crash occurred at the intersection of Parris Bridge Road and Arrowood Branch Road around 6:44 a.m. According to officials, a tractor-trailer traveling east on Parris Bridge Road was hit by a van driving on Arrowood Branch Road that attempted to cross Parris Bridge Road. Authorities said the van driver died at the scene while one passenger was taken to the hospital for their injuries. The tractor-trailer driver was uninjured in the collision. The Spartanburg County Coroner's Office has not yet shared the identity of the individual who died.
