A driver was killed in a single-vehicle crash in Limerick on Wednesday evening.Deputies responded to the area of Elm Street and Staples Road around 7 p.m., where they found a 2014 Jeep Compass that had gone off the road and struck a tree.Officials say the driver appears to have died at the scene.Preliminary investigation indicates the vehicle was traveling northeast on Elm Street when it veered off the roadway before hitting the tree.The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner will confirm the driver’s identity.The crash remains under investigation.
