Driver killed in early morning crash on the Norwood Lateral; eastbound lanes now reopened
Police say that a man is dead after a crash occurred Saturday morning on the Norwood Lateral.According to the Norwood Police Department, officers were dispatched at approximately 3:30 a.m. to a report of a crash that had occurred on the eastbound lanes of the Norwood Lateral near its intersection with Forest Avenue.Upon arrival, first responders say that they found a male driver to be unresponsive inside of a vehicle that had crashed on the highway.The man was then transported from the scene to University of Cincinnati Medical Center, where he was later pronounced dead.The Norwood Lateral's eastbound lanes were closed between Wesley Avenue and Interstate 71 for several hours throughout the morning as first responders arrived on scene.The Hamilton County Sheriff's Office is now conducting an investigation into the cause of the crash.
