Driver killed in crash on 23 Freeway in Ventura County
A driver was killed in a single-vehicle crash early Friday morning on the northbound 23 Freeway in Moorpark, authorities say. According to stringer information and California Highway Patrol incident logs, the collision occurred around 1:14 a.m. near the Tierra Rejada Road off-ramp. Ventura County Fire Department crews responded to the scene alongside CHP officers, where they found a single vehicle with damage on the driver’s side. One person inside the vehicle was discovered unresponsive and was pronounced dead at the scene. According to preliminary reports, no other occupants were found inside the vehicle.
