Driver in Napa crash that killed 3 charged with DUI, vehicular manslaughter
(KRON) -- The driver in a head-on collision that left three people dead in Napa over the weekend has been charged with DUI and gross vehicular manslaughter, the Napa County District Attorney announced Wednesday. William Dene Brumley, 68, was behind the wheel on Saturday, March 28 on the 5700 block of Silverado Trail when the crash occurred. Three people -- Vivian Bertolino, 65, of Napa, Linda Wolters, 62, of Napa, and Katrina Clarke, 65, of Sacramento -- were killed in the crash. Six others were injured, including defendant Brumley. Brumley, an American Canyon resident, is facing three felony counts of gross vehicular manslaughter while intoxicated, along with felony driving under the influence of any drug causing injury. The case against Brumley remains under investigation, the DA said. He is due to be arraigned Wednesday afternoon.
