Driver in Belle Glade wrong-way crash in August succumbs to injuries
A driver involved in an August wrong-way crash has sadly passed away due to injuries sustained during the incident, as reported by the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office. The driver, Jorge Fermin, aged 57, succumbed to his injuries on December 31. The accident took place on August 10 in Belle Glade when Fermin was driving westbound on Southern Boulevard, and was hit by another driver, Lon'quinten McFadden, 24, who was driving in the wrong direction. Tragically, McFadden also lost his life in the collision. Fermin was critically injured and was rushed to St. Mary’s Medical Center for treatment.
