Driver facing vehicular homicide, DUI in crash that killed child

DENVER (KDVR) — A man is facing several charges after a child was killed in a crash on Interstate 76 on Thursday night. The Commerce City Police Department said it was investigating a deadly crash on Thursday around 7 p.m. Police said it was a single-vehicle rollover collision, where one person died and another was taken to the hospital with unknown injuries. In a Friday morning update, police said the passenger in the crash was a juvenile, and the adult male driver is facing charges including vehicular homicide, DUI, reckless driving, and child abuse resulting in death. It's unclear what their relationship is to each other. "What a horrible tragedy," police said in a Facebook post. At the time of the crash, I-76 northbound was shut down at Highway 85
