Driver dies after vehicle crosses median on I-70 in Washington, hits tractor-trailer
A driver is dead after a car traveled over a median on Interstate 70 and collided with a tractor-trailer.Pennsylvania State Police were called to a crash in Washington around 1:24 p.m. for a crash between a vehicle and a tractor trailer.Authorities say a Ford Focus was heading east when it began to travel up, through the grassy median and into oncoming traffic.Once in the westbound lane, the vehicle collided with a tractor-trailer head-on. The driver of the Ford Focus died at the scene. The driver of the tractor-trailer was treated for minor injuries. An investigation into the crash is ongoing. Those who utilize Interstate 70 West are asked to consider alternate routes.
