Driver arrested weeks after fatal hit-and-run on I-10
According to the Arizona Department of Public Safety, an Avondale resident was recently apprehended more than fourteen days following his alleged involvement in a fatal hit-and-run incident on I-10. The incident occurred on December 12 when a rollover crash was reported on eastbound I-10 in West Phoenix. The driver of the overturned vehicle was ejected and later succumbed to injuries at a hospital. Upon investigation, authorities determined this to be a hit-and-run involving two vehicles, with the at-fault driver fleeing the scene. The suspect, 29-year-old Tristan Loper, was arrested on December 30 for leaving the scene of a fatal collision. The victim's identity has not been disclosed.
