Driver arrested after alleged drunk crash seriously injuring one person
SAN ANTONIO - A two-vehicle crash early Sunday morning left one person seriously injured and led to the arrest of a driver accused of intoxication assault. The crash happened around 2:45 a.m. near Culebra and Bandera Road. According to the San Antonio Police Department, two people were traveling eastbound on Bandera Road with a green light when their vehicle was struck by a black Ram pickup traveling westbound on Culebra Road. The driver of the Ram fled the scene on foot after the collision but was later located nearby and taken into custody. One of the occupants in the other vehicle suffered major injuries and was transported to a local hospital for treatment. The driver of the Ram was arrested on a charge of intoxication assault.
