Driver airlifted after car crashes into frozen river in Windham County
A driver was airlifted to a nearby hospital after crashing off a road and into a river in Rockingham on Sunday.The crash happened on Route 121, with firefighters saying the driver needed to be cut free from the vehicle.Officials said it was difficult to get to the car because of the steep drop from the road to the river and the freezing temperature of the water.No responders were injured during the rescue.Officials have not provided an update on the driver's condition at this time.
