Driver, 29, Jailed After Fatal Loutsa Crash - His Court Testimony
The driver has been sentenced to prison after his trial, being charged with serious offenses for a fatal car crash that resulted in the death of one person and injuries to three others in Loutsa (Artemida) Eastern Attica on Sunday, November 30. The incident tragically ended the life of a 24-year-old man, in the presence of his girlfriend and her family. The young man had recently returned from Belgium to attend his girlfriend’s graduation. His girlfriend remains in the hospital with severe injuries. The driver tested positive for both cocaine and alcohol, with a blood alcohol level exceeding the legal limit. During the court hearing, he requested further forensic analysis and expressed his apologies to the victim's family, stating he lost control of the vehicle while trying to avoid another car. This isn't the first time the driver has been involved in a traffic incident; he previously tested positive for cannabis in 2020.
